Review by Miss Peaches

Seven Waters are a band from the Netherlands who combine melodic metal with a progressive rock/metal element. Their catchy melodies are complimented by the smokey female vocals and searing guitar solos to create a uniqueness to their music. With influences from bands such as the incredible Delain, The Gathering and After Forever is it no surprise to hear some refreshingly smokey vocal tones in the beautiful Karen‘s deliverance of lyrics. Through these tones another level of lyrical understanding is created and we are transformed onto the Seven Waters journey’s  through this incredible EP. There are incredible guitar solos throughout the EP from the very talented Michiel which are timed perfectly within each track. Not to mention the amazing drum beats provided throughout this EP by the very talented Robert who was influenced by bands such as the legendary Strapping Young Lad, Pantera and Slayer. My personal favorite track from this EP would have to be the “Weight of Loss”, the way it highlights Marteen on keys is just magical. Not to mention the lyrics from this track they are relatable on so many different levels to us all as I am sure you will agree. I can’t wait to hear more from Seven Waters.

Rating – 90/100
