From Sweden, Thundermother has a long, storied history.  The band was founded in 2009 and released their debut album in 2014.  Now the band returns with their new album “Dirty & Divine” released by AFM Records.  This is their first new release since 2022, and the band has honed their craft at playing great rock and roll music that harkens back to some of the legendary classic rock bands.

Thundermother is off and running

With the opening riff of “So Close”, Thundermother is off and running, and they don’t look back.  I adore the vocals provided by Linnea Vikstrom.  There is so much soul and passion in her delivery.  The riffs keep coming on the next track,” Can’t Put out the Fire”.  Some of the riffs remind me of AC/DC; they have that strong rock and roll feel.  “Speaking of the Devil” picks up the tempo.  Other highlights include “Feeling Alright”, “Take the Power,” and “American Adrenaline”.

Thundermother may be a throwback to what came before, but they have an air of realism and genuineness that you can’t fake.  “Dirty & Divine” is a breath of fresh air, just pure rock and roll, and it makes for a fun listening experience.
