Since forming in 2011, Edge of Paradise has had a steady career. The band has released five albums, each evolving in sound and style. There has been a natural progression from one album to the next, and with the release of their sixth and latest album, “Prophecy” out now via Napalm Records, that progression continues.

“Prophecy” opens with the bombastic track “Death Note” and follows with the cinematic piece “Give It To Me (Mind Assassin).” Lyrically, the band is on fire, addressing the existential crisis known as the singularity and the rise of artificial intelligence. This theme forms the core message of “Prophecy.”

“Prophecy Unbound” keeps the momentum going at a frenetic pace. The mid-tempo track “Sad Life of a Rose” maintains a steady Rhythm. Margarita Monet’s vocals are distinctive and harmonize well with the music. Additional highlights include “Hear Me,” “Martyr (Monster),” and “Relive Again.”

Edge of Paradise continues to explore

Fourteen years since its inception, Edge of Paradise continues to explore new territory both lyrically and musically. “Prophecy” is an outstanding album and a brilliant example of Edge of Paradise‘s excellence.
