Hollow Peak’s Obsidian Cult thematics

The album’s concept explores alienation in the digital age, inner battles, and personal renewal. From the reflective opener From Ashes Rises a Crown, the awesome Attack (a fave of mine) to the haunting title track, each song unfolds as part of a larger journey between chaos and clarity.

The comeback of Ragnhild in Hollow Peak’s Obsidian Cult

I quite like the poppy vocals of ex Theatre of Tragedy, Ragnhild Westgaard. Indeed, while the rest of the band slam in a professional performance, with awesome production by vocalist Ragnhild and drummer Marius Karlsen.

Closing words

With their debut, Hollow Peak rise as one of Norway’s most promising melodic metal acts — uniting emotion, atmosphere, and power in a striking first statement. An interesting release on the Massacre label and if you want my honest opinion, this is well worth checking out.
