Mater A Clivis Imperat, disponibile il nuovo album in studio
Atrox Locus dal 24 Marzo è uscito per l’etichetta italiana Black Widow Records
E’ finalmente disponibile a partire dal 24 marzo 2022 il nuovo album in studio dei Mater A Clivis Imperat, dal titolo “Atrox Locus”.
Edito per l’etichetta italiana Black Widow Records, il progetto può essere etichettato come Occult Prog e fonde un insieme di sonorità riconducibile a o Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Goblin e Jacula.
Atrox Locus sarà disponibile nei seguenti formati:

Mater A Clivis Imperat nasce nel 2008 da Samael Von Martin (Evol, Death Dies) alle chitarre e Natalija Branko alle tastiere. Con l’aiutodi Tomas alla batteria (Evol, Mad Agony) i tre decidono di realizzare una sorta di colonna sonora alle poesie oscure di Marta Telatin,poetessa e cartomante, ma il progetto sfuma precocemente.
Qualche anno dopo Samael incontra Isabella, con la quale aveva condiviso il palco con i suoi “Deusdiva”, band padovana di spicconel circuito Punk – Hard Rock ed inizia una collaborazione nel progetto occulto “Negatron – Tenebre”.
Quando Samael riprende il progetto musicale con Natalija attraverso i “Racconti del Filò”, racconti di mistero e esoterismo dei Colli Euganei, le notti passate in monasteri abbandonati e Ville intrise di magia, e le incursioni notturne, ascoltando Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Goblin, Jacula, Devil Doll, Morricone e Fabio Frizzi, lo stesso Samael termina la stesura dei pezzi con l’aiuto di Alessio Saglia, talentuoso tastierista milanese e di Elisa Di Marte, noto soprano Padovano.
I testi vengono tradotti ed adattati in lingua latina per dare all’ opera un valore arcaico.Ascoltare la voce di Isabella, nelle prove tra i boschi fu un’esperienza irripetibile tanto da volerla come voce principale del progetto.
E così Mater a Clivis Imperat, capitanata da Samael Von Martin e Isabella registra, nell’estate del 2020, voci e cori gregoriani percompletare le musiche di Samael, che assumono ora una forma ancora più oscura ed esoterica, come di una macabra orchestra.
Una speciale menzione va al compianto maestro Enzo Sciotti che ha realizzato l’immagine di copertina. L’oscura Madre che domina le colline è ora un vero e proprio culto.
Mater A Clivis Imperat was created in 2008 by Samael Von Martin (Evol, Death Dies) on guitars and Natalija Branko on keyboards.
With the help of Tomas on drums (Evol, Mad Agony) the guys decide to create a sort of soundtrack to the dark poems of MartaTelatin, poetess and fortune teller, but the project fades prematurely.
A few years later Samael meets Isabella, with whom he shared the stage with his “Deusdiva”, a prominent Paduan band in the Punk- Hard Rock circuit and begins a collaboration in the occult project “Negatron – Tenebre”.
When Samael resumes the musical project with Natalija through the “Racconti del Filò”, stories of mystery and esotericism of the Euganean Hills, the nights spent in abandoned monasteries and villas steeped in magic, and the nocturnal forays, listening to UriahHeep, Black Sabbath, Goblin, Jacula, Devil Doll, Morricone and Fabio Frizzi, Samael himself ends music composition with the help of Alessio Saglia, a talented Milanese keyboardist and Elisa Di Marte, a well-known Paduan soprano.
The texts are translated and adapted into Latin to give the work a more archaic value. Listening to Isabella’s voice in the rehearsalsin the woods was an unforgettable experience, so much so that the band wanted her as the main voice of the project.
And so Mater A Clivis Imperat, led by Samael Von Martin and Isabella, records all vocals and Gregorian choirs in the summer of 2020 to complete Samael’s music, which now takes on an even more obscure and esoteric form, like a macabre orchestra.
A special mention goes to the late maestro Enzo Sciotti who created the cover image. The dark Mother who dominates the hills isnow a real cult. Atrox Locus will be available in the following formats:
