French progressive rock/alternative metal act Orpheum Black shares today the official music video for the brand new single “Strangest Dream“.

Watch the clip down below:

The clip was filmed and produced by director Romain Evrard. The single is taken from the band’s debut album “Sequel(s)“, that will be released next year!

Created in 2019, Orpheum Black is born from the alchemy between 5 experienced musicians from Orleans. In 2018, after many years spent with their bands, Romain (Guitar) and Greg (Vocal/Guitar) stopped «Wild Dawn», Mélodie (Vocal/Keys) left «No Sign, Nothing». Having already shared the stage before, it is during a side project that the three friends decided to create a band together. Quickly joined by Gauthier (Bass), also playing for a long time with “The Lunatiks”, the line-up was full and complete by the arrival of Paskal (Drums).

Without forgetting the past and who they are, they now use atmospheres and ambiances based on a female/male voice combo. Orpheum Black leads their emotions by playing a melodic and powerful rock. After a first year dedicated to creating music, the band is on stage by the autumn 2019 and presents a first EP in February 2020 named soberly «ACT I.» and introduced by their first video, “Midnight“, released on October 1, 2019, and continues to tell their story with a second video in April 2020, “Silent”.

Not letting themself be defeated by this difficult year 2020, Orpheum Black succeeded in completing the composition of their first album during the first lockdown, from a distance. This “tour de force” allowed them to enter the studio, as planned, during the summer. “SEQUEL(S)”, an album of 9 linked stories retracing the epic of a character in search of meaning, is ready. Through this storytelling and by how they built and crafted their sound, they thus reinforce their universe combining both theater (“orpheum”) and cinema.

Orpheum Black was to go on tour at the end of the year for fifteen shows in order to play their album live. However, by mutual agreement between the group and their partners, the release of the album and the tour are postponed until the last quarter of 2021.

To keep the music going until better times, several singles will be released. The first, “Strangest Dream”, will be unveiled on December 16th. It will be accompanied by a short film produced by director Romain Evrard. The distribution will be handled by Blood Blast (subsidary of Nuclear Blast) and the promotion by PR agency Him Media.
