Battle Beast

BATTLE BEAST – The Truth about Steelbound

Few bands capture the spirit of modern power metal quite like Battle Beast. Fronted by the phenomenal Noora Louhimo, the Finnish outfit Battle Beast continues to blur the lines between metal, pop, and 80s rock excess—delivering an album that’s as explosive as it is infectious. Out now on Nuclear Blast Records

Battle Beast, what can I say except, yep you’ve guessed it, I am a fan. I have all their albums, including this album (together with bonus CD). The band, fronted by the awesome powerful vocals of Noora Louhimo, always manages to bring us a blend of power metal with pop and 80s rock influences, making it high energy and entertaining at the same time.

Steelbound to a last goodbye

This record is a belter from beginning to end, and to be honest, I won’t even bother mentioning any individual tracks bar one. And that cut is “Last Goodbye“. Please don’t get me wrong, every track on this record is such a damn treat, a tsunami of potential hits, but “Last Goodbye” for some reason hits the spot with me.

Maybe I can relate to the lyrics,“Break my bones, burn my body to dust, but you’re never gonna kill my soul”. Anyway, if you are a Battle Beast fan, and if you haven’t already done so, buy this record now, but if you’re not a fan, and you think this is your cuppa tea, where the hell have you been hiding? And to add, the six track bonus CD, “Disobound”, is well worth the little extra outlay.
