Die Spitz is a mayhem-inciting all girl four piece from Austin TX. Founded in 2022 the quartet is known for their unruly stage presence, bombarding their crowds with a wall of sound and angst. On this their high voltage debut album “Something to Consume” (due Sept 12th 2025 via Third Man Records), the band combine their passion, friendship, identity and artistry to fight against the inescapable decay that surrounds life.

Die Spitz music “take me back to my youth here in the UK”

The music offers a blend of classic punk, hardcore, metal, alt rock and even more. The tracks actually take me back to my youth here in the UK, and the days of Punk Rock in smokey clubs. Opener “Pop Punk Anthem” kicks off like a love song, but hey, hang on a minute, it soon gets going with a mighty screamed chorus. The angst and aggression continues throughout the album, with the girls trading songwriting and vocal duties, allowing each member’s unique voice and instrumentation to shine through.

Expectations? Total high octane punk from Die Spitz

There are a tsunami of belters throughout this album, with faves of mine being fifth track in “Sound To No One” and the following slower more laid back “Go Get Dressed”, with atmospheric vocals springing to the fore. Also “Riding With My Girls” offers three minutes of total high octane punk. Love it!!
