MYSTFALL – The secrets of the embers of a dying world

Mystfall return with Embers of a Dying World — a breathtaking journey through Mediterranean symphonic metal grandeur. Guided by Marialena Trikoglou’s soaring soprano, the album blends operatic power, cinematic darkness, and Celtic elegance into ten epic tracks that will enchant fans of Nightwish and Epica alike.

Believe me what we have here is an album of Mediterranean symphonic metal grandeur. Indeed, the second studio album Embers Of A Dying World from the Greek symphonic metal ensemble Mystfall, led by the extraordinary voice of soprano singer Marialena Trikoglou, will seduce the listener and take them to a majestic journey in a world of dark and dreamy cinematic atmospheres.

Embers of a Dying World: Ten bombastic and epic tracks

Running in at just under 40 minutes, there are ten bombastic and epic tracks on this symphonic metal opus, every track a belter. The vocals of Marialena shine throughout, with occasional but not overly done growls from bassist Stelios. The album continues the band’s signature style from their debut, which often includes operatic vocals, thick guitars and cinematic, sometimes Celtic-infused arrangements.

It depicts an alternative dimension where dreams are alive and fighting with nightmares to keep the human spirit intact. The main concept of the album is about the consequences of every person’s actions on Earth, and each song is a story yet untold. This certainly is for fans of Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Xandria etc and if you like these bands, this record should be right up your alleyway.
