Hailing from NYC, Industrial/Alternative Metal Band Black Satellite, led by indomitable frontwoman Larissa Vale, is creating waves in the rock scene with a sound that’s dark, edgy, and distinctly their own. And they are back with their second full-length Aftermath. Fusing industrial and metal influences, their music transcends conventional boundaries solidifying their place in the genre.

Indeed, Larissa Vale‘s distinctive and dynamic vocal style is highlighted with songs like Disengaged and Here It Ends, the latter to me being one of the album’s catchier moments. Further standouts include the opener, the KoRn sounding Broken, one of the stronger tracks Downfall and the belter Kill For You.
According to our reviewer, Aftermath…
This sophomore 15 track effort certainly ups the ante from their debut Endless which was released in 2017, and an album I did particularly like. However, although some tracks on Aftermath do have strong hooks, others do lack the necessary “oomph” to keep one’s attention. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend it, certainly for fans of KoRn, Motionless in White among others.
