Disclaimer

We deliberately do not use the term “femme-fronted” to define or categorize the artists and bands we cover. We believe music should not be reduced to a label based on who stands behind the microphone.

Our focus is on the music, the artists, their creativity, and the stories they have to tell. We simply don’t like the term, and we don’t use it.

About us

Since 2009, Femme Metal Webzine has been an independent space for discovering, sharing, and celebrating music and the people behind it.

Born from a passion for metal and women in music, our journey has naturally grown beyond labels and genres. Alongside metal and rock, we explore selected sounds from other musical worlds whenever something catches our attention and feels worth sharing.

Our international team comes from different corners of the world bringing together different tastes, backgrounds, and perspectives. Through interviews, reviews, live reports, news, and features, we simply aim to offer our readers something genuine, interesting, and worth their time.

At the heart of Femme Metal Webzine, nothing is more complicated than that: we love music, we love discovering new things, and we love writing about what excites us.
